Your iGlucose meter will last longer and perform better if you do a few things each time you use it.
- Store your meter in its case when you’re not using it to prevent it from getting dusty.
- Your meter should not come into contact with any liquid, especially the test strip port.
- Dropping your meter may damage it and alter its accuracy. If dropped, please do a control test with the provided control solution. There is a support article in the Revero app about performing this test entitled All About Using Control Solution with Your iGlucose Monitor.
- Clean the outside of the meter thoroughly using CaviWipes Disinfecting Towelettes to remove dust, dirt, or blood. To disinfect the meter, take another towelette and wipe the entire surface again. Let the meter sit for 2 minutes, and then wipe it dry with a clean cloth.
- If blood or control solution touches the test strip port on your meter, clean it immediately with a damp cloth. Then do a control test for meter performance.
- Clean your lancing pen after each use with a disinfecting towelette. Your pen should not get wet.
- Wash your hands well with warm soap and water after you use or handle your meter.
