The iGlucose Blood Glucose Monitoring System is a state-of-the-art tool designed to help individuals with diabetes manage their blood glucose levels more effectively. This smart meter offers convenience, accuracy, and the ability to share real-time data with healthcare providers. Like any medical device, the iGlucose system may occasionally display messages. This article will help you understand the most common messages and provide tips to fix them.
Your meter has a color LCD monitor where all messages will be displayed in written form for better understanding.
Low blood volume
This display indicates that there was not enough blood applied to the test strip. Remove the test strip, insert a new one, and retest.
Strip error
The meter detected a possible problem with the strip code. Take the strip out, check it, and reinsert it.
If the error occurs again, please use a new test strip.
Insert a new test strip
The test strip is damaged, out of date, or used. Check the expiration date of strips and if current, retest with a new one.
Temperature error
The temperature is out of the recommended range of 50 degrees F to 104 degrees F (10-40 degrees C).
Don’t attempt to cool or heat your meter. Take it to an area within this range and wait for 45 minutes before retesting with a new strip.
HI
The result may be greater than 33.3 mmol/L.
Please do a quality check with the control solution (there is an article in the Revero App on how to do this). Retest, and if the result remains HI, please get medical attention immediately.
LO
The result may be less than 0.6 mmol/L. Please follow the instructions above. If the result remains low, please get medical attention immediately.
Device malfunction
Try reinstalling the battery to see if this corrects the problem. If not, perform a Quality Control Test.
There is another article in the Revero App explaining this procedure.
Signal failure
An abnormal signal happened while testing. Please retest with a new strip.
