The basics of setting up and using the iBloodPressure meter
The Smart Meter iBloodPressure uses cellular technology to help you monitor and track your blood pressure easily and effectively. The device is equipped with Long-Term Evolution (LTE) technology, enabling real-time data sharing with Revero clinicians and health coaches through your Revero app. In this guide, we will walk you through the process of using the Smart Meter iBloodPressure (LTE) to ensure accurate readings and better overall blood pressure management. Your blood pressure monitor is easy to use—no Bluetooth or syncing is required.

Setting up your iBloodPressure device
There are a few simple steps to getting started with your new blood pressure device. These are also explained in the video linked above. After unboxing your iBloodPressure device, ensure that all the components are included: the blood pressure monitor, the upper arm cuff, the air tube, the AC adapter, and the user manual.
- Begin by unboxing the device and sliding the back panel off, then inserting four AA batteries. Make sure you look at the markings in the battery tray to orient them correctly.
- Take the air tube that is attached to the blood pressure cuff, and plug it into the port on the left side of the iBloodPressure device.
- Slide the cuff onto your left arm, with the air tube pointing toward your hand. Bring it up so the lower end is 1 inch above your elbow.
- Align the red “artery” markings on the cuff with the arteries that are on the crease of your elbow opposite the elbow bone itself.
- Pull the loose end gently, to take the slack out, then wrap the velcro band around your arm to secure the cuff.
Blood pressure testing procedure
To properly test your blood pressure, please follow these steps:
- Sit upright back against a chair with your feet on the floor. Don’t cross your legs at the knee or ankle. Your arm should be supported on a flat surface like a table and at the level of your heart.
- Put the cuff on your upper bare arm with the air tube running down the center of your arm and the bottom of the cuff about an inch above the elbow.
- Secure the cuff snugly but not too tight, leaving enough room to slide two fingers under the cuff.
- Press the on/off button once to turn the device on, then once more to start the measurement.
- The cuff inflates, takes the measurement, and sends the results.
- Remain still and quiet—avoid talking, moving, or crossing your legs.
- Once the measurement is complete, you’ll see your systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, heart rate, and the time of measurement. The cuff deflates automatically.
- Results are automatically transmitted and your app will be updated.
More Details
- If the screen is blank, press the on/off button to turn it on
- If the device doesn’t turn on, check or replace its batteries
- If you see a horizontal line, the device is still establishing a connection
- If the device displays an error message, please refer to the user manual to understand what it means
- If the device detects an irregular heartbeat or movement, it will display two hearts at the bottom of the screen
- There is also a battery icon in the lower left corner, which will alert you when it is time to replace the batteries. Keep some AA batteries on hand for when that happens.
What are the numbers on my monitor?
- Your blood pressure reading has two numbers—the top number is your systolic blood pressure, and the bottom number is your diastolic blood pressure.
- Systolic blood pressure: The higher number is the pressure in your arteries when your heart beats.
- Diastolic blood pressure: The lower number is the pressure in your arteries when your heart is at rest between beats.
- The iBloodPressure device will also display your heart rate, which is the number of times your heart beats per minute.
- At the top left of the screen, you will see the message “sending” when the device is uploading your measurements. When this is completed, the message will change to “done.”
Your Revero care team will help you understand your readings and develop a customized blood pressure care plan to reduce your numbers.
Please refer to your iBloodPressure user manual for more details about your monitoring device, such as error codes or specifications (page 18 in your manual).
